  1. Dear Victor:
I’m very interested in your “El joven Nathaniel Hathorne” I’m wondering why you are so interested in Nathaniel Hawthorne.

    • Dear Hiro:
“Wakefield” has always been one of my favorite short stories. Other than that, I haven’t been really interested in Hawthorne until I chose him to be one of the characters of my book. I chose him because his biography and some of his books fit well in my story. During the writing process I read a lot of his books and other books about him, and the more I read, the more I was interested in him.
Thank you for your interest in the book.
      Regards

    • Dear Victor:
Thank you for your kind reply to my mail.
I am thinking of publishing “El Joven Nathaniel Hathorne in Japanese translation so that many people interested in Hawthorne in Japan can read your book, though its English version is not published yet.
Anyway, I am wondering why so many Spanish writers, including Borges and Eduardo Berti, are interested in “Wakefield”.
